Introducing new registered QSA Buddhist chaplains!
Dr Janet Hou was registered in Oct 22, after completing QSA's 2021 Intro course. Of Mahayana tradition with Chung Tian Temple, Janet lives in Brisbane and has extensive senior experience in the health sector. Trained as a doctor in China and an epidemiologist in Australia, she is an Assoc Professor, Board Director and Professional Editor of research.

Chamath Piyabandu joined us in Nov 22, having completed Intro course in 2021. From Theravada/Thai Forest tradition, Chamath is affiliated with Forest Lake Sri Lankan Temple and Dhammagiri Monastery in Mount Crosby. He lives in Logan city and is an accredited facilitator of Dr Neil Nedley's Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program (DARP).
This month Feb 23, we welcome Marc Colbeck. A Zen practitioner with Mountain Moon Zen Sangha, Marc is a registered counsellor (MA in Counselling Psychology) and a registered paramedic (BSc in Paramedicine). He is currently attached to The Prince Charles Hospital and is completing a Diploma in Chaplaincy. Marc is active in the Buddhist Prison Chaplaincy Network.

We also welcome Krishan Jayalath this month. From Theravada tradition and founding member of Gold Coast Buddhist Association Inc, Kris is a Software Engineering Manager at a local university. He completed QSA's Intro course in 2021 and has been volunteering for 4 years at Gold Coast Buddhist Association. Kris also serves as Deputy Secretary of QSA.
