Community Program 2023: SMALL GROUPWORK

1st Saturday 4th Mar 2023, 10am - 12pm AEST Brisbane time.
10.00 - 11.00am 1-to-1 Peer Chat (in private breakout rooms)
You will be put with another Buddhist chaplain to practise listening skills as trained in Intro to Buddhist Chaplaincy course - active/passive listening, mindful interaction, etc. Speaker can focus on any current problem that he/she wishes to reflect on. Swap roles midway. There will be journaling involved. All sequences will be guided.
Short Break
11.00 - 12.00pm Small Whole Group Chat
The facilitator will guide the group through a reflective self-supervision tool, based on what happened earlier in the breakout room. The tool introduced will be a resource chosen from the field of Spiritual Direction. After the short self-reflection, group sharing follows. Group closes after journaling.
Mode: online retreat style, preferably no interruptions or distractions. For whom: fresh or seasoned practitioner, back to foundations of listening. To bring: your Professional Journal, your sense of fun/humour, non-judgemental curiosity and willingness to learn from each other. Zoom link: will be given to registrants a day before.
