Free Supervision Resources

Updated: May 9, 2023

UPDATE: Chaplains can utilise their own existing resources for professional growth and supervision, or those of Chaplaincy Australia or Spiritual Care Australia.

Please note that Supervision interns (Chaplaincy Australia) do not charge a fee, which might suit those who are volunteering or those looking for extra supervisory support. Trained Supervision is a professional modality and at their professional level, such Christianity-based supervisors will be open and able to serve Buddhist chaplains. Many will be members of AAOS (Australasian Association of Supervision). Check them out at ttps://www.chaplaincyaustralia.com/supervision-2/ (scroll to the end of page for interns.)

Here is a Chaplaincy Australia intern specifically with chaplaincy background:

Kathryn Armour is a Professional Pastoral Supervisor and associate member of AAOS (Australasian Association of Supervision). Based in Melbourne, she offers supervision sessions on Zoom.

Supervision is not line management. It is about creating a safe space for critical reflection on the role and challenges of a chaplain. This is best practice in chaplaincy, as it promotes growth, learning and encouragement.

Kathryn's work experience includes being a teacher for 10 years at a multicultural school, engaging with Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, etc; 4 years in hospital chaplaincy and 10 years as a school chaplain. She holds Deg in Teaching, Theology and Grad Cert in Professional Supervision. She works out of her personal Christian faith and is open to supporting Buddhist chaplains.

As an intern with Chaplaincy Australia, she currently does not charge a fee. Interested parties, please feel free to contact her directly on:
