Arno Hess

Arno Hess is a Brisbane based Zen-Buddhist teacher and founder of Pathway Zen, where he guides students in meditation and koan practice. 

Besides teaching Zen, Arno also facilitates the Inside Mindfulness Program, an accredited mindfulness based rehabilitation course, which he co-founded in 2009. This program is currently being taught in various prisons around Brisbane and South East Queensland. 

As a registered Buddhist Chaplain with the Queensland Sangha Association, Arno supports anyone (you do not need to be a Buddhist) requesting spiritual counselling in general and also people in palliative care. 

Arno’s background was in business, having co-founded a pharmaceutical machinery manufacturing company. His passion is the cultivation of Zen practice as a way of life.
